Okay... so I'm really pale... have puffy red eyes from crying... not that bad

*starts making her way to the bathroom*

Who am I kidding!? I look like shit! :[

*finally notices that she's in her room... the room that she had shared with Crash*


*bites her lip as tears come to her eyes once more*
*rushes to the bathroom and leans on the counter*
*steps into the shower with her clothes on, leaving the curtain open- glad that no one could see her in here though her tears would mesh with the water anyway*

*as a thought hits her, she lets her hand trail down to the scar that JP had so gently grazed before*
*bites her lip again*

Don't Jacks JP's voice rang through her head.
*her hand flew away from her chest slightly as she turns to see no one there*
*tears fall harder*
*someone takes her wrist*

He could hear her throughout the house, whether he wished to or not. Her pain was killing him. The phrase had always been- 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'. He certainly wasn't becoming any stronger from this. He walked quietly into her room, locking the door behind him. He walked past the bed, past the dressers, past the balcony, past the mirrors and couches and into the bathroom where the water was running. Her back was to him. Don't Jacks. He said without saying a word. He grabbed her wrist and stepped into the flowing water silently. She had known he was there. She always knew. Turning, she moved quickly to bury her head in his chest.

*Opens his arms to accept her*
*Tucks her head under his chin and holds her as tightly as he can*

"I should have known," She sobbed. "How didn't I know?"

Because it was made a point for you NOT to know.
*Runs his fingers continuously through her hair*
*Unconsciously kisses the top of her head*
You know he has a plan for us. We can't escape it. Mel will always have his way- to whatever end.
I *voice breaks* I'm sorry I couldn't save you from this fate, Jacks.
If there was any way... you know I would help you.
*Takes her wrist in hand once more, covers the collarbone scar with his other hand*
But not this way. I can't lose you this way.
*shakes his head and holds her closer as the water continues to fall from the shower head, his tears mixing with hers in the droplets*

*shivers slightly but doesn't want to pull away from him*

*sniffs, the last of the tears that she had stored up having run their course*

*Pulls her away slightly, holding her shoulders in her hands*
*Looks her in the eye*
You need to change.
*Pushes the hair out of her face*
*Releases her to stand away slightly*

:[ All I seem to do anymore is cry-- ever since I got here.

*sigh*

*sways once he releases her*

*Eyes widen*
Oops- here we are- *said as he catches her*
*Grabs a towel and wraps her in it*
*Steers her to the regular room*
*Sits her in a chair*
I'll be right back okay?
*Smiles*

*nods*

Sorry...

*blushes and half smiles*

*Touches her chin quickly*
*Goes to unlock the door and then goes out the balcony window*

*sighs*

Why can't anyone use a door anymore?

*shivers*

*knocks softly*
*voice full of concern*

*sniffs and tries to straighten her hair*

*sighs when she discoveres it's useless*

*stands to welcome her and almost falls over*

*walks in and sees her sway*

*runs and catches her*

What happened?!
JP found me and asked me to help you.

*sits her down on the bed and goes through her drawers to find clean clothes*

*sighs for the thousandth time*

Nothing. I was just stupid. Really, really... REALLY stupid.

You don't have to find clothes, I'll be- *sneezes* O.o

*sniffs and stops defeding herself in stupidity*

*stops and looks at Jackie*

Something must have happened if you are soaking wet..
Not everyday does someone go into the shower fully clothed.

*pulls out pair of sweatpants and t-shirt*

I... needed to clean up and was too lazy to get rid of my clothes...

*looks at her with concern*

We both know I can tell when someone isn't telling the whole truth.

*walks to bed and gives her a hug*
*sets clothes next to her*

You go change,
I'll wait until you come back out, okay?

*thinks*
I wonder why it was JP who asked me to help her..

*half smiles*

*wraps a blanket around her when she shivers slightly*

In the mean time, you should sleep some.

*stands up to leave*

*smiles at Nikki's retreating form and leans against the headboard of the bed*
