Athens: Two Weeks Later

Frankly, HE didn't see any reason to be sorry. 'Don't be.' He blinked. She seemed a bit confused and upset, but he couldn't understand why. He hadn't done anything to her. Will gently lifted the hands from her eyes. 'What's wrong?'

She felt his hands on her as they lifted away. "I shouldn't like you," she said in something between a whisper and a sigh. "I shouldn't be falling for you." She was so confused on why she was that it didn't register that maybe she had a heart and maybe she cared. She had told herself over the past months that having feelings only got you hurt, so she tried to become a very emotionless person. Well clearly that failed here.

He smiled. Well, that was a bit of an ego boost. 'Why not?' Will traced the veins up her arms.

She rolled her eyes. "Because I don't want to get hurt again by love," she gave him a honest answer. He traced he arm and she let him.

He shrugged. 'You don't have to be.' He placed a kiss on her jaw, then below her ear.

She smiled at his answer. Then he kissed her jaw then below her ear. He wasn't making this easy to not do but maybe she could take a chance. "What happens if I told you I'm scared?"

'Hmm. Well, that's where I'm supposed to tell you that I respect your decision..' He smiled and kissed her lips. 'But I've never been good at that sort of thing.'

He kissed her and she couldn't help but think that her being on the ground was a disadvantage. "I think I might be okay with that," she wasn't really sure what was going on at the moment. She didn't really care. "But I swear if you say you are gay and then try to get it on with my dad I'm going to kill you."

He laughed. 'Far from it, I assure you.' Will ran a hand through her hair, watching her face.

She liked his laugh, at least he laughed. Damon didn't laugh he just sorta sat there and looked at you. It was slightly creepy come to think of it. Will ran a hand through her hair and a she let a spark or something flash through her eyes. "Good because that happened with my ex-husband."

He stopped. 'I..erm..' He wasn't sure if she had meant that as a joke or not.

She started to laugh when he stopped. She was completely serious about her ex. He wanted to be gay after seven years together. "I'm serious about him," she gave a feeble smile. "Sorry to make that a bit weird, figured you would like to know that. And why I'm a bit scared it will happen again."

He chuckled. 'No, I'm pretty comfortable with my sexuality. I don't see it changing.' He'd never gotten THAT from a girl before (well, not since high school).

She leaned her head back in the sand and sighed in relief. She didn't need a repeat of Mr. gay boy. "I'm glad you are," she looked back up at him. "That makes me feel a lot more comfortable with you."

'I'll take that as a compliment,' he said, shifting his weight to his elbows and winking.

She sat up and kissed him. After kissing him she laid back down in the sand. "You know this is going to piss Damon off right," she smiled at him.

'All the better!' He returned the kiss with a chuckle and an impish grin.

"Exactly," she laughed. "You are going to enjoy that aren't you?"

He nodded. Of course he would. He loved pissing that guy off. He was just too fun to not irritate. 'Well, that's a given. He hates me, and I like it that way.'

"He has good reason," she looked at him, placing a arm behind her head. "You are taking his girl away." This was a fact, the longer she thought about it. She was falling for Will and she barely knew him, funny the way emotions acted. The best part is she knew he wasn't gay, not that she had a problem with gay people.

He shrugged. 'Well, he should've kept a better eye on her, then.'

"Maybe," she sighed. "But then she wouldn't be happy now would she?"

'I guess not.' He rolled over onto his back, looking at the sky.

She moved to put her head on his chest. Him being here was a very comforting thought. She closed her eyes and listened to his breathing.
