Athens: Two Weeks Later

"As good as it can go," she looked down to see him still reading. She wasn't surprised. "The airport didn't lose anything so I guess that is what counts." She looked back out, moving a tree branch gently.

Sodom stayed silent for a moment, then spoke suddenly. "It is quite the view, isn't it? This home is one of my favorites for that very reason." Then he continued without prompting. "Tell me what training you've had--any kind and every kind. Be specific."

It was a view. This might become a great spot for her to come when she wasn't training. With out looking at him she answered. "I have had assassin's training, gone through martial arts all of the, I was trained in sword fighting. I speak french, English, Spanish, and Italian fluently." She paused to try to remember all of what Leo taught her. "I was in school for most of my training. Leo had hands on stuff he taught me, like knife fighting." That about summed most of it up. The rest she taught herself, while on the job.

"What about Botany, Chemistry, Architecture? How many languages have you learned, and to what degree? The body is not as important as the mind."

She looked down at him. Hadn't she just said she knew four different languages. She never did get to German fluently or Russian. "I know four after living in the places for so long," she sat in on the branch with her legs hagging off. "Chemistry and Architecture I know after spending hours studying them," she paused for a bit going through hall the subjects in her head. "Any math course I have done, do you want history too sir?"

He turned a page. "Then of what use am I to you? I am only one man. I only know so much." Sodom glanced up at her through the leaves. "If you know everything, I can't profess to know more or teach more, child."

"Well I don't know everything," she swung her legs to and fro. "I don't know history and anything past chemistry I'm lost. Math was something I was good at, it was something I understood. But really I'm not as smart as what I just said. Sure I know it but I don't really KNOW it."

"I take it you know enough of mythology. Do you recall Atlas?" He raised a dark eyebrow.

Her eyes widened a bit. She never did Mythology. "I know very little about him," she sighed. "I know he was suppose to hold the earth for a punishment, after that it is a gray area."

"Atlas sided with his own people, the Titans, in a war against the Olympians, and lost. His punishment was to hold the sky above the earth, to ensure that the two would never embrace again. What do you suppose this task required of Atlas, other than his strength?"

"Mental stability," she answered after a few minuets of thinking. She was probably wrong but she didn't know mythology at all.

A hint of a smile played on his lips. "It required patience. Anything that takes time requires patience, and the best way to learn patience is to wait."

She saw the faint hint of the smile. She thought over what he said. "I can see that," she thought over his words again. He was right about that.

He nodded. "Eventually, you will have the patience to carry out whatever it is you have planned for your family, my dear. You will also learn the language of facial and body expression. Once you have finished, you should be able to discern a lie from the truth without even trying, but more importantly, you should be able to pull information from others without even asking a question, simply by watching them."

She listened to him, taking it all in. Her trust wasn't fully to him but if Leo trusted him she would learn. She was sure that Sodom had plenty to teach her. "Sir do you know what I want to do," she asked looking at him with a curious glance. "What I have been waiting to do? And still am becasue I know I have to."

"As I have said, I do not profess to know everything. Enlighten me," he said.

She was slightly shocked by his reaction. But as the rule still stood never tell you plans to kill. I was a rule in her little book of rules not to break. "Well revenge is on the list of things to do but the first one is see my mum," she parted her lips in a smile. "I'll gladly give her a black rose along with a close person in my life." She reached into her pocket and handed Sodom a folded out picture. It was one of Adden. It was a drawn picture. "I trusted a fool and now," she gave a short laugh, "well he broke a girls heart. Love just another useless emotion we fall under."

Sodom's features contorted into a frown as he took the picture, memories he had thought long-forgotten once again revealing themselves in his mind. A look of pain flashed over his features so quickly it was hard to say it had been anything more than a trick of the eye, and he was composed again. "I see," he stated simply, handing the photograph back without looking in her direction.

She saw a flicker, or thought she did of something on his face. He was good at hiding his emotions but something had to be there right? She took the picture back and shoved it back in her pocket. She moved something off her side that couldn't be seen until she moved her shirt. It was a small dagger, the one she kept on her at all times. It was passed down to her. "Sir by some chance did you own a small dagger that you gave to Leo?"

"I may have," he answered indifferently. "I haven't seen him in at least three hundred years. Why?" He didn't turn to inspect the dagger to really see if it was one he'd given to Leo or not, gazing at the scene to the left of the pool, watching Will and Donnovan chasing down the neighbors' horses through the valley.

She leaned back on the branch, putting on leg up. The other still hung freely. "It has your name on it," she pulled it out of the sheath and let the blade hit the sun. Sodom was written on one side and Leo on the other. She was like the little kid who just was bored while her grandfather read a book. "I always wondered who Sodom was and even asked a few times. But he never did tell me, he would get a smile on his face and drift off. Soon I learned that not knowing would be better but by then I had left."

"Leo was a friend of mine. We knew each other for the majority of our existences and fought side-by-side, like two sides of a blade. One could not be bloodied without first bloodying the other. He was there when.." His jaw clenched, and he continued. "Frankly, I'm surprised he kept it."

She listened to him then he stopped. Pain. Harsh memories, she knew them. She couldn't talk about much with out getting into a fit of anger. "Well as he referred to you once was a brother he never had," she looked down at him. "Of course I was eight, human, and had just witness the death of my mum and brother when he told me that." She was waiting for the Monica shut up at any moment from him, Leo did that a lot.

He nodded, listening fully without taking his eyes from the distance as she spoke about her family and the words Leo had given her. "Well, family often quarrel, and brothers do the most, over petty things--as you can see with these two." He gestured at the two men wrestling in the middle of the field to the left.

She looked out to the field. It clicked that Leo and him did have a quarrel at one point that Sodom would rather forget. She cocked her head to one side watching the boys. "How in the world did that happen?"
