Paris: The Adams Brothers Meet Miss Scarface

Will stepped out onto the street. 'Hmm. Left or right?' He flipped the coin. 'Heads left, tails right. Well, looks like heads.'

He turned left, strolling down the sidewalk and throwing a glance over his shoulder. 'Do you really walk that slow, or are you admiring me from the back?'

She was behind him in the walking. She was trying not to laugh at him but him and that coin made her. "I'm enjoying the view from back here," she said.

She went to the side of him in a flash before he turned. "But I like seeing your face."

He grinned boyishly. 'Heads I race you to the Eiffel Tower, tails I let you stare at me some more.'

Then he took off, leaving her behind him on the side of the road.

She hard him then he took off. Damn. She started to run, she was hoping he wasn't as fast as Damon. She caught up to him and pulled a little a head. "Come on will I might let you win," she laughed then pulled a little father a head.

He laughed as he passed her. He hadn't always been the strongest but he'd most certainly been the fastest in his lifetime. 'Oh, come on, lady. You didn't think I was gonna go easy on ya?'

Will sped through the streets and past a bakery, turning slightly when his stomach growled. Then he reached the tower, leaning against its supports as he waited.

He sped past her. Damn he was faster then her. It was like racing Damon all over again. Except this time she didn't have to play a game of train.

He was leaning against the tower waiting for her when she got there. "Now what do you want in return," she stood next to him leaning against the cool metal.

He smiled widely. 'I never said I wanted anything.'

'But I'm a bit hungry. Where's the closest place to get breakfast?'

"Men always want something Will," she smiled.

"I'll take you to it," she took his hand and started walking. She was taking him to a small cafe, just on the edge of the tower. It was a bakery but one of the best by far.

'Ah, but I told you I wouldn't try anything dishonorable, now didn't I?' He followed Monica through the streets. 'You realize that you're taking a walk with a complete stranger, don't you?'

"Yes but I'm fine with that," she smiled at him. "I do it almost daily here."

She stayed close to him through the throng of people. Her hand didn't leave his. She didn't have Damon here to hold her hand so Will was the next best thing. And if he tried anything she had her knifes on here. But the real reason was she hated the french men hitting on her.

"But I'm sure you don't mind do you."

His lips curved into a half-smile. 'Not at all, miss. Not at all.'

Will looked about idly, taking in his surroundings and never letting his eyes rest on one spot. The constant energy he maintained had to be released somehow, and after that run he was even more energetic.

The smile faded from her lips as she walked. She still had his hand as she walked but she knew that here you had to be careful. People tend to be not only nosey but they like to cause pain. And besides around here it was the bad side of the place. The town no matter how wonderful was a place for scum.

"Will keep a eye out."

He nodded. 'Will do. How far is this place, exactly?'

Will moved forward to walk by Monica's side, staring at a passing homeless man. 'Erm.. if you don't mind my asking.. Where did you come from? Before you came here, that is.'

"Just around the corner," she said and pulled him past the homeless man. She stopped in front of a little shop, surrounded by others. Warm steam came from it as the baker stood at the window. The baker gestured to his ring finger suggesting that she had married again. She shook her head. She said something in french that she knew Will wouldn't understand.

She pulled him to the table and ordered for them both. "I was born in Italy and raised there. Not to far from Rome. I was a born Italian but I feel better in France. To many old memories in Italy for my liking. Why do you ask?"

The baker brought out two cups of coffee and war rolls. Here that was breakfast. "Hope you don't mind. But this is breakfast here."

Will's face fell and his stomach growled. 'No wonder the French're so damn skinny.' He continued muttering to himself cynically for the next few moments until he remembered her first question.

'You just seem like you've been through a lot.' He shrugged.

She took a bite out of her roll and watched him. She laughed a bit. "Well we have big lunches, the main meal of the day," she giggled.

She took a sip of her coffee and thought over his last statement. "I have been through a lot," she said with the cup still on her lips. "It's why I came here."

He nodded. He wouldn't pry this early, but he'd want to know eventually because, whether he liked to admit it or not, Will had the curiosity of a small-town gossip-monger.

'Been here long?' He stared out the window, watching the passer-by, and his feet bounced under the table.

"Seven months long," she looked down at her cup. She was hiding the hatred currently, no need to scare him off. She sipped her coffee again. The hated had boiled for seven months. She had left right after that bouncy little boy was born. "I guess it has been a long time."

He turned and smiled at her suddenly. 'Regardless, it brought you here, and to me, that's a good thing.'

He winked. Will didn't much enjoy serious conversation. He preferred to speak about things that could keep him in a light mood.

She flashed a smile at him. She leaned forward and took the coin from his hand. "Heads I kiss you tails I don't," she smiled and flipped the coin. "Looks like heads it is." She leaned across the table and kissed him. She loved teasing the boys, it was so much fun and he was a sucker for it.She like that.

"Well Will what do you want to do now?"

'I--um--uh..' He attempted to not stammer when he responded but did very poorly in that aspect. He looked out the window again. 'Well.. I can't say I know much about Paris. I've only been here for about a week.'

(Sorry. I had dinner.)

She laughed at his stammer. IT was cute. "Well we could do just about anything you wanted Will," she sipped her coffee again. "It doesn't matter to me."

She smiled at him over the cup.

He eyed her. 'Don't you have some studying to be doing, miss?'

Will sat back in his chair, tilting it onto its hind legs. He raised an eyebrow. 'I'd hate to keep you from all the fun you could be having pondering the meaning of life or whatever.'

"I've already read it," she smiled at him. "I have the answer already."

She sipped her coffee again. It was starting to get cold. She put it down and ran her finger around the rim of the cup. "The answer is simple really."
